A cataclysmic event, - Mula

I've been reading the warrior forums, today, to try to figure out how to set up my gems. As I well knew, Armor Penetration was leaving us warriors. I should have planned in advance, and started re-gemming for strength. However, I got caught up with things, and why change something that is working perfectly well. So, got all the updates. Log in and take a look at my gear. ... All the armor penetration gems I had were surreptitiously turned into crit strike gems. ... Needless to say, I was a bit frustrated by the changes. It costs 150 a gem - give or take a few gold. The least that they could have done was to change the red armor penetration gems into red gems of some other sort. ... perhaps strength gems...or...well that's all I suppose.

As I was reading the forums, I got the general impression that I was not the only one who was displeased with the new changes. One warrior claimed that they used to do 17-20k dps and now they only did 9k. Others also reported a 35% reduction of damage. This disturbs me greatly. I had just finally been able to keep up with the ranged dps as far as damage dealt, and now this. I feel as if all the hard work I've put into getting to this point has been destroyed, and it doesn't help to know that no one has found a viable solution. I will continue to explore my options.

At this point I need to set up my glyphs, figure out whether my second spec will be dps for pvp or defense, and figure out what to do about all this extra crit strike that I have.

I am the Kingslayer! -Mula

We finally did it! We killed the Lich King! It took us three weeks, but finally he is dead. Well, Arthas is dead. The Lich King still survives. But I believe that Arthas' replacement will not try to corrupt the world.

It is so good to finally be at peace. There is one more that I need to kill. He is hiding in Ulduar. Algalon the observer. I hear he's not an easy one to find. I have faith in my tribe. We will face him.

Tougher than we thought, -by Mula

So, we were back. This time the group was very well geared...as was the last time we went in. We faced the Lich King, and I must admit, it was a tough fight. We made several attempts, but were unable to succeed. I can only proclaim my gratitude to my fellow raiders and guild members; they have been patient and are dedicated to helping me and Melikar obtain our title for killing the Lich King. I am much more comfortable with what I need to do and am much appreciative of the guidance that is given throughout the fight. I am certain that we will succeed. We got so close to beating him. But then he started summoning angry spirits, and he sent me into a different realm where I had to defeat some being or spirit of some sort, I beat it, but when I came around I found that I had died. We also had a couple of attempts that just ended up to bad luck. There was one time I got snatched up by a valkyre and dropped over the edge. Most of the other times I died by taking too much damage. And one time, after the leader said to wipe it, I just jumped off the side of the platform. :)

Flinttooth is doing well. He's got himself a pet to help him out on his hunt! He's growing stronger every day! I'm so proud of him. :)

29 September 2010

50th post, and Mula's got a boyfriend! -Mula

Yes, you heard correctly. I've got a beau and his name is Flinttooth! He's a hunter, and while, at first, he thought I was taller than him, it turns out that it was only my armor that made me look larger than him. He is from one of the neighboring clans and was very helpful when the attacks happened. I only just found out recently that he survived and I rushed out to Mulgore the moment I heard. He's decided to venture out into the world and I couldn't be more proud of him!

28 September 2010

Hello, Mr. Lich King, -Mula

Yes, indeed. Thanks to the guidance of Donazon (I hope I spelled his name right!), we were able to beat Sindragosa and meet the Lich King. We fought him a couple of times, but he kept beating us down. We actually did pretty well the second time, but then he brought out his valkyries and causing the defile to get really big. I had trouble with getting away from the group when he put defile on me. I personally have no way of sprinting out of the way, and I tend to move slower than the other races. I have decided to start moving out sooner, when I see that he's about to cast it, just to make sure that I don't mess things up for the rest of the group.

Honestly, I'm just glad we were able to kill Sindragosa. And I will review the documented fights again, just to make sure that there is nothing I'm missing. Actually, I was trying to see if Totalbiscuit had put anything up about experience with the Lich King, but it seems that he has been posting things of future events. I find these posts intriguing, but as far as when they will occur is another story indeed.

23 September 2010

A little less aggrivation a little more action please, -Mula

And by that I mean, I gotta stop pulling mooks off the tank. Just got through a round at Icecrown citadel, and I found that I was behaving more like a noob then a professional. But what can you do? It's been eons since I've fought Sindragosa. And the last time I did fight her, it was with 24 other people. I was catching on after a while, though. I just hope they don't hate me forever for being such a 'tard.

Unfortunately, we didn't get past her this time around. I guess they usually try to finish things up on Mondays, so we'll see. I fear that we don't have enough damage goin' against her, and I've only just figured out the debuffs in the last phase. Learnin' from mistakes is the key. And patience. Let's hope.

Arrrrrrrr Righty then! - Squigvicious

Yarr! Nothin' like becoming a pirate. So, now I'm a goblin who's transformed into a gnome who's been transformed into a pirate. Sheesh.

Been helpin' them elves up on that Quel'danas island. Went with a group of folks and took out this big ugly lookin' guy. Came right up and out of the Sunwell. I got some sweet gear and now the baddies are just dropping like flies.

I think my true feelings are starting to come out. Or should I say, I'm starting to lose my patience being stuck in a gnome's body. With the knowledge that I've gained about the pending attacks against the Horde, my tolerance for the Alliance is going down greatly. I was with a group in Utgarde Keep, and the the tank died on the second pull. And then these big guys start coming after me. So, what do I do? I vanish. Then the group wipes. And they have the gall to get mad at me when I start complaining. I left after that. The tank couldn't even hold aggro on the guy he was attacking primarily. So, I got mad and started complaining. I know, I know, wasn't very mature of me, but Boy OH Boy did it feel GOOD!

Cataclysm Poetry

Cataclysm is coming
(to the tune of "Christmas is coming")

Cataclysm is coming,
The gnome is getting fat.
Please put a silver
In my engineer's sack.
If you haven't got a silver
then a copper will have to do;
If you haven't got a copper
then I'm comin' after you.

Woe to the world
(to the tune of "Joy to the World")

Woe to the world
for deathwing's come
the earth be ripped to shreads
Let every heart
cower in fear
and gnomes and night elves scream
and gnomes and night elves scream
and gnomes and gnomes and night elves scream.

The gnome just got run over by a wargen
(To the tune "Grandma just got run over by a reindeer")

The gnome just got run over by a wargen
Walking home from Stormwind, Cataclysm eve
You can say there's no such thing as Wargen,
But us orcs and tauren, we do believe.
He was drinkin' too much Kungaloosh,
And we swear, we told him not to go,
But he forgot his medication, and he
staggered out the door.
When we found him Cataclysm morning,
at the scene of the attack
He had paw prints on his forehead
and incriminating claw marks on his back

Now we're all so pround of Gorgatsuya
He's been handling this just fine
He's not laughing at the scene, only
drinking lager with Mula
and gettin' ready to dine.
It's not Cataclysm without the gnome,
The Alliance is dressed in black
And we just can't help but wonder
Should we have a cry also, or just
pat each other on the back?
Pat on the back!!

Now the hog is on the table
and the stuffing made last night
And the green pines in the center
that would have matched
the hair on the gnome just right.
I've warned all my
friends and guildies
Better watch out for hairy beasts.
Lets go enlist the goblins
and for now we'll enjoy our feast!

Northrend here I come, - Squigvicious

That's right baybee! I'm a 3 foot pack of hot nails comin' atcha! I may be broke. I may be stuck in a gnome body. I may be a little bit on the crayzie side. But I got my goggles and my knives and I got a whole lot o' mischieviousness comin' atcha! Oh. And once I get my flamethrower made, maybe - maybe not, I'll be thawin' out the locals...unless I can get some cobalt bombs goin'.

Aaand on another note. I should have known better. I mean. Got into a group in a random dungeon with someone from Blackrock. And, I should have known that the group was going to fail. Especially when this person was complaining 2 minutes into the dungeon. To his credit, we almost made it to the first boss. But...eventually he left. Which was great...but then the tank left after a few minutes of waiting and then the rest of us left. Honestly, the guy sucked at healing. So, it was no big loss. :D

Why am I in a gnome's body? - Squigvicious

This is something I ask myself quite often. More importantly, why is it so important to find out what the Alliance kings are up to, and how will I be able to find out this information. Sylvannas thinks that once I've become more experienced, I will be able to find out this information. So far, it seems as if I've been assigned to menial tasks. Every time I even get near enough to hear what's going on, they don't seem to be talking of anything of great importance.

I tried going back to Tinwhistle and his assistant to see if I could be changed back into my natural form, but they said that if they did that, then they might not be able to transform me back into the same goblin as before, which could mean losing all that I've gained. In addition, the materials that are required for said transformation are quite rare indeed, and can only be found in certain areas of Northrend. I've been considering trying to go to my home island and seeing if the helicopter can make it that far, but alas, I worry about my skills as a mechanic, and whether or not it will hold up for the trek. So, I shall continue to muster on and learn what can be learned. I was fortuitous enough to hitch a ride to Dalaran, so I will listen in when I can to the generals there. I am hoping to make contact with some of the members of the Horde so that I can get the information that I gather directly to them. As of yet, the information is trivial, at best, so my current contacts are fine, but I have noticed that several of the other goblins are getting suspicious, and so I've had to pull back. They are the ones that believe in true neutrality. I dare not push my luck anymore. That's all for now. If someone reads this message, please send me a response.

30 August 2010

So so sixty! -Squigvicious

I have reached level 60. (Actually, now 62, to be more accurate.)

I'm cruising around Hellfire Peninsula on my brand new helicopter and getting ready to head to Zangramarsh. I'm also thinking, now would be a good time to turn in some old quests. I even found some buddies to group up with to take out some giants and a nasty demon hanging out in the pools of...Agomar?

This second skin itches so bad...and I miss my sweetie. It's been so long since I've seen her. I'm thinking about having Tinwhistle and Grok change me back sooner. I guess until then I'll have to just cope.

28 August 2010

Hakkar, - Squigvicious

I cannot wait to get out of this disguise. I dislike having to negotiate with these Alliance folks. They are so flighty and uncommitted. But, my undercover work is still in process. Honestly, I think that Grimble and Spark have forgotten how to transform me back into my natural state - goblin.

I am in this guild, and there is this guy who I find incredibly annoying. I was recruiting folks to come into Zul'Garub with me and he signs up. Then he leaves. I wasn't too concerned. Later he whispers me and says that he'll be able to come in about 15 minutes. I get as many people as I can, and we head into Zul'Garub. We had only the two bosses that have mounts and Hakkar on the list of things to kill. We're about to get to Hakkar, so I ask this guy if he still wants to come. He said he did, so I invited him. He then starts talking incessantly about how he wants to be promoted. I told him I couldn't as I gave someone else lead. Finally he gets his other friends in. And now he's going on about how he needs to be summoned. I asked him, doesn't he have a way to get here. He said no. We couldn't wait. So, he left. We lobbed off Hakkar's head. And everyone in the group was happy. I later apologized to this guy, dispite that fact that I didn't feel that I should have, saying that I was sorry things didn't work. I do have to put up with him on a day-to-day basis, so decided to settle the storm before it starts.

Prophesies and spirits, -Mula

I wish I had written this information down sooner, as the details have gotten fuzzy. Last Thursday, we were joined at our moot by another tribe. They were concerned about spirits that had become disturbed. I asked Rincewindy about this and he said that spirits don't like it when things are different, or changed around.

They also reported feeling the earth shake when they were in Orgrimmar.

I reported that Hallion, a dragon the shade of a reddish-purple, had destroyed the ruby sanctum, up in Dragonblight.

There were many questions asked, and it seemed as if there were more questions than answers. I have asked Rincewindy to see what he can find about Hallion's origins.

25 August 2010

Hello Hallion, - Mula

I found myself joined up with the Reckless Mortals again, thanks to Senne. We entered the Ruby Sanctum and found Hallion in the center of a clearing. I was actually surprised to see how much life was in the sanctum. I don't know what I was expecting...maybe another barren landscape surrounded by lava...or a tundra of a wasteland...certainly not a rich vibrant forest. It was almost a shame that we would have to fight in such a peaceful area.

The fight started and we were doing pretty well. Then Hallion slips into a different realm. We all ran in after him. The battle continued on. Then, Hallion goes back into the normal realm...sorta. So, our ranged warriors went after him in that realm and myself and the close-combat warriors stayed in the twilight realm. After a delicately balanced battle, we succeeded in taking him down. I was thrilled to be a part of the success.

On another note, Gorgatsuya has promised to make me a motor bike. I just need about 8,000 more gold to pay for the parts. I can feel the motor runnin' already.

19 August 2010

Now for the hard part, -Mula

The forging of Shadowmourne is getting more difficult. Right now, I'm in a position where I could potentially begin to work on it, but it requires defeating some of the more difficult bosses in the Citadel. The first step, is to beat Professor Putricide while the axe has absorbed a particular essence...which can only be obtained while running around in giant construct. I am not familiar with the operation of this construct, nor am I completely familiar with the construct's role in the fight, which means learning from other's experiences.

The next step is to kill the Vampire Queen, but only after absorbing the blood essence. I hear I need to get blood mirror put on me, then be turned to a vampire, and then kill her. I am usually one of the last ones on the totem pole when it comes to the whole vampire blood sucking bit in this fight, so let's add another impossible task to my list.

The third step is to get the frost essence from Sindragosa. This might take some pre-planning. I am going to need to get a lot of frost resistance, since I will be needing to stand in front of the dragon when it's blowing cold air on everyone...and then of course, be able to kill it. No small task indeed.

Finally, the last bit should be relatively easier. Just got to collect 50 shards from the bosses. And...with one shard dropping off of certain bosses...well...depends on how well the raid is.

Then Shadowmourne is mine. And then I shall be splitting open the Lich King's skull with it.

I am hoping to be able to finish these tasks with the help of my guild members, but...I may need to call in some help from outside sources. I am suspecting that everyone in the raid will need to be well-geared...extremely well-geared.

Naxxaramas and some souls, -Mula

Monday, I was hanging around in Dalaran to see if anyone needed some help with Icecrown Citadel, and I heard that someone was looking for some help in Naxxaramas. So, being that I'd never been there before (apart from a couple weekly assignments), I signed up, and talked Aracna into coming, as well. She said she was dress shopping, but could go hat shopping in Naxxaramas. We made quick work of the critters running around and ran into Anub'Rekhan. He's very buggy and he summons bugs and spits out bugs. We stomped him good. We went along and ran into Grand Widow Faerlina and her cronies. She went down quickly. Finally we came to Maexxna, a big...no huge...ginormous red, yellow and black spider. (Lladywolf, you would have been terrified!) We, splattered it's guts all over the place.

We moved on to the construct quarter. We made quick work of Patchwork. Moved on to Grobbulus (a very strange individual) and took him out. We went on to Gluth. I was concerned that we'd have some trouble with the big pooch, because by this time, Aracna had left and if someone didn't slow the zombiechow from getting to Gluth, we'd have some trouble killing him since the zombiechow healed him up. I helped keep the zombies away from him, and we succeeded in killing him. We came up to Thaddius. He's got two guys on these platforms that we had to kill at the same time. The we had to jump over to the platform that Thaddius was on. I've heard it could be a difficult jump. I got a running start and leapt...and didn't quite make it. Several other people didn't make it, as well. We had to give it another go, since Thaddius used this to his advantage. We took out his buddies, again. This time, the priest made it easier for me and the others in our group and we landed on the platform. At this point, things get electrifying. I swear my hair was standing on end. I got struck hard and had to be revived. We ended up draining his battery dry...or smashing it to pieces.

We, came upon the Plague quarter. At this point we lost one of our dps, so I asked the guild if anyone wanted to come and Anca said she would. She came on to help take out Noth the plaguebringer and his skeleton friends. We came upon Heigan the unclean and after bathing in his acid baths the first time, danced him to his grave. After, Heigan, Loatheb was a breeze.

We had a little trouble the first time with Instructor Razuvious in the Military quarter, but caught on quick and ended up teaching HIM the lesson. Gothik the Harvester was next. We harvested him with ease. The Four horsemen, Sir Zeliek, Thane Korth'azz, Lady Blaumeux, and Baren Rivendare, I thought would give us a challenge, but we coordinated our efforts to beat them by splitting them up and taking 'em out one by one.

I was feeling very giddy by this time. And even though we were all very tired by this point, we decided to give the rest of the dungeon a go. We entered Sapphiron's chilly lair and were greated by the boney dragon. Well, we were greeted by it's frosty breath and sharp teeth and claws. We hid behind ice blocks and chipped away at the dragon until we could chip away no more.

We moved into the throne room where, Kel'Thuzad was waiting for us. He was finishing a conversation with the Lich King when we entered. At this point, he started sending his minions after us. We cut through the ranks and finally the lich decided to fight us with his own two hands. We were cutting him down and noticed that he was starting to sweat. He makes a quick call to the Lich King asking for help. The Lich King pretty much told him he was too busy, and sent a couple of Crypt Lords to join the fight. Seeing the panic on his face we doubled our efforts and started pushing him back. Next thing we knew, he on the ground and his "puppies" retreated to safer ground. And there was much rejoicing!

On a side note: I was back in Icecrown Citadel with my bidding buddies last night. This time I actually had 1700 gold to potentially spend. There was a ring that dropped, but the bidding went up to 3k, but no matter. Most importantly, I collected the 1000 souls needed for Shadow's edge. And I have to say, it was due to the fact that we wiped while trying to heal Valithria Dreamwalker. If we'd been successful, I would never have gotten the needed souls last night. Now comes the hard part. But, I'll tell you about that on a later date.

16 August 2010

Have you noticed. -Squigvicious

Did you notice that the more experienced you are the longer the wait time on random dungeons is? It is true. That is...until you reach 80.

Another surprise hit me yesterday. I maxed out my lockpicking skill. I wasn't progressing in my skill and I was wondering why. Then, after asking in trade, turns out lockpicking works like weapon skills. Makes sense. I am so relieved to hear this. Now, as long as I pick 5 locks per level, I'm good!

My engineering and mining skills are falling behind. I think I might need to farm 'em next time I'm out. I've gotta find some mithril, though. And I'm starting to get to areas that have thorium, and dark iron.

Anyway, I've been grinding real hard gaining experience. I'm now at level 51. I'm hoping to reach 80 by the end of the year.

So, way to blow a dungeon. We're in Blackrock depths. The tank goes into the area with all the dogs and guards. He pulls the first group, then the next, and the next. Naturally, he dies. I'm running for my life, trying to turn invisible and failing. So, I leave the party, hoping that this will take me out of the dungeon before I get torn apart by a hundred angry dogs. It doesn't. So, I'm dead, and groupless and still in the dungeon. So, I've gotta get rezzed and run back. And now it's saying that I can't get into another dungeon for 30 minutes. Talk about a long wait. Because, once you ditch the group and have to wait that amount of time, you've got to wait even longer to requeue for another dungeon. So, learn from my mistake, don't leave the party. But, it didn't matter that much since I had quests to do and locks to pick and plenty to do. Yeah, don't leave the party unless you got stuff to do or want to let someone else have a go (i.e., switch to another character).

Nefarious down! - Mula

That's right. And that also means that the only raids that I haven't completed through to the end are Naxxaramas, Icecrown Citadel, Ulduar, and Ruby Sanctum.
I think it would be really wishful thinking to hope that I would be able to finish these before the end of the year.

Blackwing lair is one of the more...trickier...of the classic raids. First thing you have to do is go into Upper Blackrock Spire and kill this guy who flys around on a dragon. Then you can go into Blackwing lair through Upper Blackrock Spire, or grab something off the dragon-rider's body and get attuned to the crystal that teleports you to the dungeon. Anyway...

Once you get into blackwing lair, the first room, you've got to mind control a dragon and have him break all the eggs. Of course, it's not that easy. While someone (usually the tank) is MC-ing this dragon, all these dragons and orcs come out of woodwork and start attacking. (At least I thought they were orcs.) Anyway, once the dragon eggs are squished, you've got to attack the MC-ed dragon...while the mobs still keep coming.

Then, once that dragon is killed, you go into the next room. But, wait there's more...mobs that is. They are still coming out of the woodwork. So, you've got to kill this big red dragon, keep the mobs in check. So, we kill the dragon. And the mobs are still coming. Finally, we kill them all. We're able to rez the tank and move onto the next room.

This room, there are lots of dragon whelps. And a few bigger dragons. And did I mention the poison gas? Yeah. Makes you go super slow. So, we're "running" through this room, but everything is going in slow motion except for the bad guys. Eventually, you get to this dragon guy. So we all put our backs to the wall and he's knocking us back into the wall. Can you only imagine if we hadn't been against the wall. Gah! So, we killed him.

The next room wasn't too bad. Just deadly. There's bomb throwing goblins and a big dragon flying around the middle of the room. We were able clear that room out pretty quickly. Went up the stairs. Took out some more...surprise...dragons! Learned how to smelt eternium(?) ore off the dead body of a gobbie. Took out two more dragons at the top of the stairs. Opened the gate and there was this two-headed dragon doggie. I ended up tanking it. And we killed it.

We finally got to Nefarious. He was sittin' on his throne chillaxin'. We told him he didn't have a permit for all those dragons. He didn't like that. He started sending his dragon minions after us. Not cool. So we killed them. Then HE changed into a DRAGON!!! So, we had to fight him. Then he brings all his dragon minions back to life. Yeah, the ones that we had killed, and we killed 'em again. And we killed Nefarious. Chopped his head off and one of the other fellows I was grouped with said he'd show it to the right folks. And that was that.

Burn out

Ok. How do you know you're suffering from burn out in WoW? Another list. Feel free to comment and add :)

1. You started out doing 20 daily quests a day for money, you're now down to 4.
2. You're 12,000 points away from getting exalted with a faction and you've been like that for about 6 months, even though the faction has sweet rewards.
3. You're doing the bare minimum to keep your character(s) up to par.
4. Your alt's are having trouble staying in the guild they're in...getting kicked out because of being a no-show.
5. Your mail that your alt sent an alt has bounced back to the sender and is down to 3 days left.
6. You're new character you made failed to get to a mailbox in time to receive the starting pets and mounts.
7. You become one of "those" people. You know, the grumpy/bored ones that are trolling in trade.
8. You've made, yet again, another new character that will never make it past level 20.
9. You've made a new character of a race you can't stand, just to troll in their trade chat.
10. You're tired of running around, tired of killing things, tired of gathering things, and tired of trolling.

Ten signs you know you're never going to see the end of the dungeon.

1. You've barely stepped in the dungeon when the tank is already running ahead and grabbing a large group of bad guys.
2. You say "Hello" or "Hi" and nobody says "Hi" back.
3. The tank is wearing dps gear.
4. The healer is wearing dps gear.
5. You're two mobs into the dungeon and someone has started griping about someone else.
6. You're two mobs into the dungeon and the party has died...again.
7. Turns out that the tank's gear is in much need of an upgrade. This could be because he/she is wearing leather when he/she could be wearing mail. There could be severely horrendous items equipped, such as level 5 gray items in a level 15 dungeon.
8. The tank cannot maintain aggro, resulting in ... more griping!
9. Either the tank or the healer leaves. This results in a mass exodus. Who really wants to wait for another tank or healer?
10. 2+ of the players in the group are under 13. (Sure, this one can't really be proven as a deciding factor for failure, but...)

Lady Vashj defeated, -by Mula

I signed up for the raid for Serpentshrine caverns last night, as I have never been there before. I thought it would be a fairly quick raid, and that I'd still have time to go the that evening's moot. We started at 5:30 server time and were decimating the opposition. I was thrilled to finally be able to kill the lurker that I'd fished up a few weeks ago. We got to Lady Vashj and were pulverizing her when she thought it would be a great idea to put up her shields. She started sending her minions after us. We were killing the minions but could not figure out how to defeat her. Meanwhile, she was getting bigger and bigger and stronger, as well. Needless to say, she forced us to retreat. We gathered a few more folks and found out that we needed to get an item from some of the tainted elements that were spawning. That item could be used to break her shields. We took her on again, and all went according to plan. With her defeat, I have completed all of the Outland Dungeons! It was a big surprise for me!
Unfortunately, as far as time goes, it went 1 hour and 15 minutes past the 6:00 moot start time. ((and I also would have been on time for picking my husband up from school, if we'd killed Vashj on the first try. I guess 15 minutes of hubby aggro was deserved.))

Things are looking up!, -by Mula

So, it was a busy day for me, yesterday. Did a quick run through Zul'Aman. Found this troll guy and saved him. In exchange he gave me a ragged voodoo doll. I was baffled as to what to do with it. He said that there was someone in Shattrath that would like it. Oh-kay.

Also did a quick run through the Vault of Archenon.
And a quick run through Ulduar to take down Ingvar (sp?) the flame keeper. That was interesting in the fact that the tank wasn't tankly enough. I went to repair and the bill was 115 gold! I hadn't repaired in a while, though.

I was about to call it for the night when Senne (from the tribe) asked if there was anyone who'd want to come for a fresh run through Icecrown citadel. I had been in Zul'Aman at the time and was on the last boss, so I said that I wanted to go. Got finished with the trolls, and made my way over to the citadel. This was an amazing group! And also was the first time I'd raided with them. We blew through the first half of the dungeon. We downed Professor Putricide like he was nothin'. We blazed through the vampires. Got through the queen in 2 tries. We downed her just as she was about to go apeshit! By the end of the night, we only had two bosses left. Syndragosa and the lich king. It was truly phenominal! I even got an upgrade for my shoulders and new plate leggings! And to top it all off, I am two frosty emblems from getting a better helm! And...and...ack!, I need more gems!!

Dragon-palooza! -by, Mula

First some soul news: Less than 400 souls to go!
And some emblem news: 45 more for the helm.
And some citadel news: Raided with Silva and his gang again. Got to Prof.Putricide.

I was just getting done with the raid in the citadel and just about to put my feet up for the night, when I overheard that there was a raid being formed to take down Sartharion in the Obsidian Sanctum. Feeling rather confident, I signed on. We took out the mooks and prepared ourselves and jumped right in. It took us about 3 tries but we did it! When I saw the loot that dropped, I then knew why they wanted to do it. There were some reigns to a black dragon mixed in with the rest of the loot. We all rolled. I rolled an 8. There would be no dragon for me. But, it was a great experience, anyway!

Halfway there, -by Mula

The collection of souls went from a little more than three hundred up to 500 last night in a 25man citadel run. We blew through the first four bosses, but when we went up against Rotface, we got pelted by slimes and ended up having to run. I feel that this could have been prevented if the person who was carting the slimes did a better job keeping them out of the middle. But, overall I was pleased. I almost got my hands on an upgrade for my chest, but my dice luck wasn's so lucky. The guy that got it needed it more anyway.

Sreng, our guild master is having bouts of nakedness. I was trying to talk him out of it, but gave up in the end. One just has to avert their eyes in the end. Looking forward to the 10man citadel run tonight. Just need 65 more frosty emblems for a helm. Still needing 5 primordial saronites and a bunch of titansteel for the legs. I'm gonna check the auction house to see how much those are going for nowadays.

Healing Time, by Pyaara

Was in a dungeon down in Tanaris. I signed up to be the healer. Was going pretty well at first. Then the rogue says to pull more than that. So, that's when things got crazy. It was all I could do to keep the healing up. And so we're doing pretty good, for a bit. Then, one of the dps leave. (And the rogue disconnected.) So, I put forth a vote to kick the rogue. >:D We got rid of the rogue and picked up a warrior. Things are still kinda crazy. And now, people are scooby-dooing. Finally, we get the group together.

Here's how it goes: The tank, who is also a paladin, gets up on his charger, runs around the area picking up mobs like crazy, and I'm sweatin' trying to stay in range and keep him healed. And then we loot the dead bodies. And then...he would pause for a bit in between fights. Maybe he was waiting on a cooldown, who knows. It was driving me crazy, though. Could have done 1 group at a time just as easily.

So, then we got to the area with the graves. And the warrior and the tank both start digging up the graves. Next thing I know, there are zombies every where, attacking everyone. And I'm trying to keep the tank alive. Then the warrior starts taking a lot of hits. So, I'm trying to heal the warrior before he dies. And then I see the tank go down. And then the mage. And then the warrior. And next thing I know, I've got zombies all over me! And somehow the hunter survives. Heh. I wish I could've pretended to be dead and fool the bunch of zombies attacking me. And we get resurrected. And the warrior has the nerve to ask what happened. And I tell him, that it's a lot easier to heal the party when the tank has all the aggro.

So, thankfully, nobody ditched me after that fiasco, and we made it to the end. And, after that first wipe, everyone did a good job letting the pally keep the aggro. I would have liked to take out Gaszrilla (or however it's spelled), but by that time everyone was pretty tired, so we called it.

A little late introduction

Ever wonder where those crazy names came from? Well, I'll tell ya:

Mula- means female mule in Spanish. Yep. She's my workhorse. And my main.

Lottabruski- lot of bruski, or beer. She's a dwarf. No reflection on me btw.

Rincewindy- ever read the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. There's a character named Rincewind. Probably one of my favorite characters in the series.

Sixxissix- I think we all can figure that one out. Made her after reading Stephen King's book. Whichever one made all the references to 19 and 1999 and etc.

Beetovon- Famous composer Beethoven reference. (Actually had trouble typing his name correctly.) My favorite composer.

Karask- Named after a character I created for a novel. Means demon in elvish (D&D reference) He's got a pet named after a demon as well. btw, if you're looking for demonology stuff, "The encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology" by Rosemary Guiley is a pretty good source.

Sangnoire- means "black blood" in french. She's a death knight, so kinda fitting.

Mulamula- based on a nickname I got from a guild member. Kinda cute. If I do transfer a toon off of silverhand, this will be my Tauren pally.

Darthfail- Death knight meets Sith meets fail. Aaaagh. He's a tank. And I've already had one person leave b4 I could prove that I wasn't a failtank....

Pyaara- roughly means lovely in Hindi.

Squigvicious- taken from warhammer and Sid Vicious. Squigs being the little critters that warhammer goblins push around.

Nottatauren- my druid tauren. play on words since druids change shape.

Malacowa- "Bad cow" a play on the "Bad wolf" storyline in Doctor Who.

Epicfail- The first of the fails.

Artamise- Artemis- greek goddess, also Artemis, from R.A. Salvatore's books.

Angrypoopoo- I get the two mixed up, but either Rotface or Festergut, says "I think I made an angry poo poo...it gonna blow!"

Littlebruski- A little version of lotta- i.e. a gnome

Imdeadagain- a parody on warlocks and how they're so easy to kill. I should put her into pvp. heh.

Karishna- A variation of Krishna - a Hindu diety

Deadlady- undead warrior

Annoyin- mage gnome- another pvp candidate.

Faithfail- one of the younger fails. Shadow priest.

Poppoppoppop- shaman. Sound of the 4 totems when she brings em out.

Wulfengar- Another R.A. Salvatore reference- Wulfgar added to wolfen. :)

Nutt- another discworld reference- Nutt being the goblin in the book "Unseen Academicals"

Easy come, easy go

So, my collection of "fail" characters was getting out of hand. I mean, there were: Epicfail, Darthfail, Failbear, and Faithfail. In addition to that, there were: Angrypoopoo and Huntaard. Too much! So, I took out Failbear and Huntaard. Huntaard died by a backfired arrow to the skull. Failbear got mauled by a bear.

Replaced one with "Imdeadagain" - an orc'lock. Been levelling her up as quick as I can. I need to get back to doing quests. But I hate having to be interrupted while doing a quest for a dungeon. But, the better gear, and the xp are in the dungeons.

I've been thinking of converting Nottatauren into a tauren paladin when cataclysm comes out, but I dunno. Been wanting to level him up so that he can live up to his name. (i.e. tree form). And with Squigvicious being converted into a goblin, I'm not sure how much more money I'm gonna want to be spending.

I've been having the same problems with all of my characters that are between 20 and 79. I've hit a rut. With Nottatauren, Pyaara, and Malacowa - all healers - the frustration is that questing is much more difficult, or perhaps just more tedious. Since they are set up to heal, I'd have to move a lot of buttons, (And now I just remembered about that secondary action bar - Gah!) ... and spend more time healing because I'd be dying faster since my dps isn't as high...and the queue for dungeons is still pretty long, even for healers. For the dps - it's the waiting in the queue for the dungeons, too. I hate having to repeat quests that I've done in the past with other characters, so I'm stuck. And it doesn't help that my main character is fairly high maintenance. Gotta keep doing dailies to get the moolah, gotta keep doing the daily dungeon to get the marks of frost, gotta keep trying to get into raids for the marks of frost and to upgrade Shadow's edge. But, as you can imagine, doing dailies gets tiresome, and can't do dailies while having to sit around in the cities waiting for raids...hmmm. That gives me an idea...I could sell stuff on the auction house, or even upsell stuff...[begins to rub hands together greedily and develop a wicked grin on face]. Ok, I probably don't have the patience for that, either. Actually, it's been a good chance to chat with my guidies!

2-man moot- by Rincewindy

I can barely believe that only two people showed up for IST's weekly moot. Me and Aracna were the only ones. We talked mostly about my memory issues and spoke about the last few weeks. I did remember one thing from before the ... surgery?...so I believe there is still hope. Several people were on before and they all left just before the meeting started. One person was trying to get there, but got sucked into the void and wasn't able to make it. We moved the moot to the IST beach with hopes that sun and sand would bring in more bodies. Lucinther showed up and nearly scared the pants off of me. I've been finding it difficult to get back to my old life, the memories of the past that were regained were so vivid, it was difficult to transition back to my daily life. Seems like everything's been on hold. I am now wishing that I'd never regained my memories, and the price I paid - my memories from after that day in the woods - seems almost too high now. I am determined now, to rebuild my current life, and not let the past get in my way anymore.

Mr. Wiggles Shoulders, -by Mula

Ok, you might be wondering what that's supposed to mean. Ok. I'll tell!

Yesterday, I was hanging out in Dalaran, hoping for someone to invite me into a raid. I get invited to a raid, and as I'm heading over I get another invite. I ask the person who was trying to invite me, and he was also inviting me to a 10 man raid on the Citadel. Well, I said my good-byes to the group I was in, since I knew the guy who was inviting me, and had raided with Seventh Seal before. (Actually, I'm hoping to get in their Sunday night raid, too.) So, I head into ICC (Icecrown Citadel) and talk to the blacksmith in there. He's got some nice shoulders that I could buy for some frost emblems. I'm debating to either get the shoulders now, or to wait until I get enough emblems to buy a new helm. Well, the shoulders won out. I purchased them, got them gemmed up, stopped at the Sons of Hodir and bought an enchantment for them. I also finally got my mace enchanted! Thanks to Rincewindy for the mats!

So, I donned my new shoulders. If ya take a look you can see that they have piggy faces! So, I thought, I need a matching pet. Out came Mr. Wiggles!

21 July 2010

Down and out

So, yesterday, around noon, I'm checking my email, (something I don't do often), and I notice that there's an email from the guys at Blizzard. And they're telling me that the payment didn't go through, and so, first thought that goes through my head is that "I'm broke! Oh crap!" but the second thought replaced very quickly: "Oh crap! When I got my debit card replaced, I forgot to update it with WoW!" So, I go to the battle.net and click on the my account button, and I get a message that the website is under maintenance and that it will be fixed soon. So, I try a couple hours later. Same thing. So, I try to call them, and I get this recording that the queue is full and to call back later. Apparently, I wasn't the only one having problems. So, I decide to wait until I get home. I go online again...same thing. So, now I'm wondering what they're considering as "shortly." 6 hours? heh.

So, I think, "well maybe I'll play a little Conan." Bring the game up. Oh crap. It's got a bunch of updates. Gah! So, I have my husband call the Spanish help line for WoW, since all the English speaking people are hogging up the queue. He gets a representative and turns out that she can't do anything since the servers are down on their end, as well. And to try maybe in an hour....and Conan's now got a 50 minute wait. So, I crack out Lego Harry Potter and decide to take care of things later.

...Later, I try again on the website, and I'm able to get to the part where you choose what kind of payment method you're gonna use to pay the bill, but when I click on the continue button it puts me back at the same page. So, I have my husband call again. This time, he tells me that they're saying that the servers probably won't be up until tomorrow. ...Well, actually first he said two weeks. Then he said just kidding. Anyway, that's what Lego Harry Potter is for. And my husband got to play Conan. So, everyone was happy! And maybe I'll be able to get my raid in tonight, since I was able to update my credit card information this morning. :)

Another day, another gold piece, - by Mula

I missed the rest of the raid last night...by 2 hours. Who knew that they were gonna start it so soon. It's probably for the best. It would have been a heck of a repair bill. Hopin' to be able to get into a raid tonight. Maybe get more souls for my axe.

Got about 300g doing dailies. That will buy one more gem. I'm hoping to have enough to enchant my mace tonight. I gotta check my mats. I'm 5 primordials away from getting a pair of pants. Been buying 'em off the Auction house. Got the red gem, just need an orange and purple. I've been wondering how beneficial it would be if I traded all my reds for Armor penetration instead of strength. I hear it's really good. Also, been wondering if I should just go straigth down the line with all reds, instead of worrying about what color gem is supposed to fill the socket. I see that a lot, too. Is losing a little bonus for having the right colors socketed worth the gain of having all armor penetration gems?

The real question is: Should I save up for a new helm or just buy out the shoulders, right now? I'm tempted to get the shoulders first that way if a helm drops...yeah, yeah, I know--Wishful thinking!...there's a chance that we might make it to the ... I think it was the Vampire queen ... and manage to take her out, then maybe...ah heck, who am I really kidding. I'd probably end up in another raid that bids for stuff, and it's doubtful that I'd actually win with only 300g. Gah!

So, the real plan is this. Get my shoulders, legs, and helm replaced with better stuff. Then, save up and buy slightly worse armor, that can be upgraded to better armor than what I currently have. It may sound a little bit crazy, but it might just be crazy enough to work!

Maybe I should think about getting a mammoth-sized mammoth next.

Three times the trek, -by Mula

After getting some dailies done, I found I couldn't do anymore. Sometimes I wish there wasn't a limit. So, I decided to knock out one of the quests that I'd been hangin' onto for a while. I was supposed to stab this blacksmith in Blackrock spire with this pike and grab the armor that he'd stolen. I got there and forgot to grab the pike. So, back to Dalaran I went. I then went back to Blackrock spire, and one of the goblins at the flight path said she still needed a frozen egg sample and would I go and get it for her since I was headed there anyway. She said I'd told her I'd do the quest quite some time ago and why was I taking so long. I said I'd get it for her right away. Back into Blackrock Spire I went again. I got to the chamber with all the eggs and realized that she hadn't given me the Egg freezing gun - what ever she called it. I went back to her and said she forgot to give it to me. She said that in her log, it showed that she'd given it to me a long while back. It then dawned on me that the item was probably in the bank. Back to Dalaran I went, again.
Indeed the item was in the bank. I grabbed it, made sure there wasn't anything else I was missing, then headed back, yet again, to Blackrock Spire. Froze the egg, and went back to the goblin. She then hands me a completed version of the test version that she'd given me and told me to get her 8 frozen eggs. I wanted to tell her "Why didn't you just give me the completed model in the first place?" but I held my tongue. Got the eggs, got the blacksmith's head on the pike and the armor, went back to the goblin. She said, that's great, now go Eastern Plaguelands and deliver it to some guy at the chapel. Grrrr! So, I went to the chapel, gave the guy the eggs, and you know what? Now, he want's me do something for him. Went into Scholomance, and realized that I must have failed to get the quest from him. So, hearthed back to Dalaran, took the flight from Orgrimmar to Winterspring. Turned in the armor and head to the demon guy at the ruined temple. Done! I'll deal with the goblins and argent people later.

269 souls and counting, -by Mula

That's right I'm over 1/4th of the way to the 1000 souls that Shadow's edge is craving. Got all the major raids out of the way for the week. Woo hoo! Just gonna work on dailies and getting monies. Already spent the money I got yesterday on primordials. Just need 6 more to make some nice legs. I'm actually trying to avoid having to buy them with my frosty emblems, so that I can work on getting better armor that can only be bought with frosty emblems. Actually only need 10 more for a nice pair of shoulders. I've been wanting to replace my chicken-helm, but I'm hoping that the helm that dropped on Tuesday will drop again in a future raid on the citadel.

I've been slacking on my dailies. I havn't even done the cheese cooking quest. And that one is super easy. The dragon riders will probably be wondering who I am next time I visit them.

Bidding for our lives, -by Mula

So, I found myself pacing back and forth around the guilde hall, with no hopes for anything to do. I'd already done the weekly dungeon quest and was getting antsy because nobody was looking for anybode to do any dungeons. And then someone says they need more to kill Nefarious in Blackwing Lair. I couldn't believe my luck! And then I realized that we weren't getting anymore people to join us. So, we ended up going our separate ways. And so I found myself pacing, again.

Finally, I heard that someone was asking for more damage dealers for Icecrown Citadel. I signed up right away and we all headed over there. So, they said they did things on a bidding system. If you wanted a particular item that dropped from one of the bosses, you'd have to bid for it. Well, I'd only brought 160 gold with me. And the minimum bid was 200 gold. I shrugged my shoulders and figured that I wouldn't need anything that dropped.

Shadow's edge was busy eating souls. Only need 830 more! We were cruising right along, and it was fun watching the bidding. I kinda chuckled to myself when a one handed mace dropped and the bidding went up to 8500 gold! These guys were rich! So, we had a little bit of trouble with Professor Putricide. So, we went over to the vampire lords and staked 'em to death.

In the end, I came out with 1500 more gold than I had in the beginning. Yep, all that money that people were spending on the weapons and armor went into a pot that got divided equally among all the group members! I might just have enough money to buy my dragons from the dragonriders. I just need to do a few more tasks for them, and then all will be good!

Shadow's edge, at last! -by Mula

It's been a long road, but I finally managed to get enough primordial saronite chunks for my new axe! I got the final two from the guild, they are so nice! I grouped up with some guys for Ulduar, and snuck into Icecrown Citadel to trade the saronite for the axe.

You can check out the axe at the armory and now that it's all over, I hardly know what to do with myself! Although I still need to get both my weapons enchanted. Will need to also start upgrading my armor. It seems like a never-ending battle. I will probably start with trying to get a better helm. Mine looks like a chicken hat!

06 July 2010

Soooo close, by Mula

I'm just two primordial saronites away from attaining Shadow's edge. I'm hoping to get just a little bit of help from the guild tonight at our raid, but there has been no word of any scheduled raid! If worse comes to worse, I'll have to wait another week before I get my hands on the weapon. That's all for now, will keep y'all posted.

Does this make sense?, by Rincewindy

I feel that I've been focusing on the wrong types of spells. When I'm fighting, I tend to keep it pretty simple. Arcane blast x4, then arcane missiles for single targets; blizzard for groups. I felt like I was not doing enough damage. Especially considering that my gear is becoming halfway decent. I'm really not sure how much damage I should be doing compared to other mages with similar gear levels to my own, but the way I had it (talent tree) set up before was continually putting me at the bottom of the totem...if you get my drift. So, this is my current focus. I didn't think that arcane barrage was really helping me achieve the quantity of damage that I was looking for. I could probably swap a point from cone of cold, which would be about 10% less damage, for something that does about 1/2 of the damage and only to a single target. My real concern is how quickly my mana is becoming drained...or should I say the slowness with which it is being replenished. That would mean taking points from damage and putting them in mana regen. So far, it hasn't been a problem.

I also just realized that I can still get a few more glyphs! I can't believe I've forgotten! --Don't you dare say anything, Mula!--

Raidin' the citadel, by Mula

So, the guild didn't have they're regular raid this Tuesday. I felt like cow stuck in a tree. So, went with some strangers. Wow, I can now really appreciate the fine tuned beast know as Ironsong Tribe (IST) raids. We barely made it past Saurfang, and then the big doggie - either Festergut's or Rotface's - Stinky, I think, had us running with our tails between our legs. How is it possible that we are able to kill Saurfang and not some big pooch? Anyway, I suspect that some of the healer's weren't as good as the IST raid healers. So, the group high-tailed it out of there. (Seriously, no puppy dog tail puns intended.)

So, then I joined up with a smaller group, yesterday. And, we did pretty good. The raid leader was amazed at being able to make it past Saurfang. Said that none of the teams he'd gone with had made it that far. I'd assume that that was mostly due to our elite healers! They were fantastic! No puppy problems there! Unfortunately, several of the raiders had to leave, so we were not able to test our mettle against the pestilent pus-bags known as Rotface and Festergut.

I love Midsummer Festival, by Mula

Things I love about the Midsummer Festival:
1. Stomping out alliance fires.
2. More frosty emblems means more Primordial saronite.
3. Goodies! Tabards, swords, and dancing fire ladies! Oh my!
4. Yummy treats! Nothin' like a hot toasty S'morc!

No! I'm not a slave to Primordial saronite!!! I'm not, really! I just need 6 more, and then the axe will be mine! [laughs maniacally][tries to cover up the laughter with a polite cough] Now just need about 15 more sacks of that mage dust so that I can get some one to enchant it! Sadly, I don't have three arms so that I can hold both my current weapons and the new one, but ya gotta go with what ya got. Actually, now that I think of it, I still need to get that mace enchanted. Gonna need a whole lot more of that enchanting stuff.

A minor case of confusion, by Rincewindy

Several weeks ago, I had set out to see if there was a way to regain my lost memories from before my rebirth, for lack of a better word. At least that's what these Ironsong folk are telling me. The problem is I can't seem to remember anything from the time I became sick to the time I woke up, yesterday. The goblin who operated on me told me that I might have temporary amnesia, but it was a side effect from regaining the lost memories.

I wasn't quite sure what to do. All I had were my memories from many years ago. I then notice that I kept receiving packages from someone named Mula. I asked some of the locals and they said that yes, they knew her. They said that she could usually be found in the Hall of the Ironsong Tribe. I went there, but did not find her. However, it turns out that I was also a member of this tribe. They kept calling me Rincwindy, instead of my real name, Razan. They seemed confused when I pointed this out. Then a large Tauren, who called himself Deeke, said that we had spoken in the past about memory loss. Apparently, he also could not recall anything prior to his waking up in Redridge mountains, or somewhere like that. He suggested that I try retracing my steps, start with my death certificate. I scoffed at the idea. I told him that I was clearly not dead, as he could plainly see. He asked if I had seen myself lately. I went over to the reflective glass...and I am embarrassed to say that I fainted. I picked myself off of the couch (he must have moved me over to it) and went back to the looking glass. I has barely a stitch of skin left on my bones.
My lower jaw was completely missing, and the ornate robes that I was wearing were torn up.

It took me a while to recover. Eventually, I decided to take Deeke's advice. I would see what I could see. I started with my application to the Ironsong tribe. I laughed out loud when I notice one of the questions. What was my goal. I had written that I wanted to regain my memories. Well, I had and I hadn't.

You can find more about my past on the Ironsong tribe's totem.

Flutterbye and Jenssen

Flutterbye and Jenssen passed away several days ago. They were travelling on a ship to Stormwind. Not much is known of why the ship never made it to Stormwind. Some say the boat got too close to the massive whirlpool in between the two continents, some say it could have easily been a kracken or a similar monster. Ship routes have been changed to be sure that that a tragedy such as this doesn't occur again.

Flutterbye had been training with the druids. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

Jenssen, a warrior and a blacksmith, was laid to rest by her friends and family in Elwynn Forest. Her father told us, "She had the heart of warrior, her bravery second to none!"

Fishin' up Old Ironjaw, by Mula

I set out to find the legendary Old Ironjaw. I travelled a very long distance. Actually passed by a seedy travelling merchant named Antonio Perelli on the the road to Ironforge.

I know the Redridge Mountains weren't quite on the way there, but I was also stomping out the alliance's Midsummer Bonfires as I went. I got to Ironforge, and the guards gave me their usual welcome. I gave them my usual reply. I found the cavern where Old Ironjaw was rumored to reside in. For over an hour that pesky fish eluded me. I even aquired a fishing companion - a priest. We fished together for a little while. Didn't speak much due to the language barrier. Then she went on her way. After a while I noticed a seasoned Death Knight glaring at me from across the cavern, the eyes on his ram glowing green menacingly.

I knew that only meant trouble. I just continued to fish. He kept staring at me, but he still did not make a move. I realized what he was waiting for, his friend. They began to advance. I told them I didn't want any trouble. Of course, they didn't understand. They left me for dead at the back of the cavern. When I came to, the cavern was empty. I bandaged my wounds and took up my trusty pole, given to me by Nat Pagle, himself. My blood must have brought Old Ironjaw out of his hiding place. A couple of casts later and I was reeling him in! Feeling adventurous, I decided to stop by Stormwind to dip my lure in their waters. (Later on I received a certificate in the mail for my bravery from the fishing council in Orgrimmar - called me the Fishing Diplomat. They also sent me a certificate for catching Ironjaw. Who would have guessed!)

Did some turkey hunting in Howling Fjord. See, Taunka Ancestors can dance!

Cooked it up for me tribe mates! Charred the skin a bit, but it was still pretty juicy on the inside. Still looking for Rincewindy. He hasn't been around since he went to see if he could find someone to help him recover his lost memories.

Pickin flowers, by Faithfail

Why do we kill the little critters?
Why do we kill the little insects?
The owls must be killed, why?
The panthers did nothing do deserve their death...for what a couple of fangs?
The spiders...well, their legs are pretty yummy.
Why the little piggies?
The bird men? Why can't we just get along?
[Picks a peacebloom] Why can't there be peace?

Bladefist's fist, by Mula

Hello again! Lot's of things done, and with the fire festival going on, I feel obligated to go around to all the fires and honor/desecrate them, depending on who's flame it is. Didn't get very far, though, the summer heat was getting to me, not to mention having to hang out near big huge fires all day long. Defeating Lord Ahune and getting his scythe was pretty cool - literally! Defeated Noth the Plaguebringer...again. He just keeps coming back. And killed Loken again.

Decided to do a favor for my buddies at Thrallmar and see if I could get Kargath Bladefist's fist for them. I found his hideout and, turns out the place is locked! Woulda been nice to know. I have ways around that sort of thing though. I love my titanium keys! Well, they didn't like me breaking into their stronghold. I made it past the mobs to Warbringer O'mrogg. Heh. There was no contest!

So, finally I came to Warchief Kargath Bladefist. I said that I just needed his hand. Well, he didn't like that proposal. We fought it out over his pit of lava. Then he started running around like a madman...right into the sharp end of Bryntroll, the Bone Arbiter.

And I finally got to appreciate some of the artwork on the way out!

So, it turns out that this blacksmith in Shadowmoon Valley has the key or the plans for the key. So, I had to bully them off of him. (Honestly, I think I might have bullied him a bit too hard.)

My new friend, by Poppoppoppop

It's time to make my mark on the world. My parents have decided that it's time for me to learn how to become a warrior. We travelled a great distance to the Orc training grounds. There, I met another orc that looked just like me! We laughed so hard at the irony! She was a great teacher!

I did everything they asked, including disciplining some lazy orc workers. My new assignment is to go to the southern point of Durotar and speak with our neighbors, the trolls. So, I packed up my totem and began the long journey.

Kael'thas Sunstrider-defeated at last!, by Mula

I would have to be the last person who would have expected this opportunity to cross my path. And even when the opportunity was presented to go up against Kael'thas, I highly doubted that it would have been possible to actually defeat him. Especially considering the rag-tag band that we had aquired. We defeated the denizens with relative ease, and found ourselves at in Sunstrider's chambers. He had surrounded himself with his council members and immediately ordered the attack.

We took them out easily. Well, Kael'thas was not amused.

Wow! You'd think he'd take it better. Well, he had it coming. We gave him one final chance to surrender....Didn't think so.

It was a shame it had to end like this.

Got a pretty nice sword to add to my collection. And also got a chance to work with a few guys from the guild The War Council. And my friend from the now dibanded Torchwood guild was also there. And as always, it was a great pleasure to work side by side with Kernasas, again.

First dungeon ever!, by Deadlady

Just bought new mail! The kind that clinks, not the kind that burns. I reached my 15th season, felt cocky, went into Ragefire chasm. Not alone, not stupid, just dead. Killed some snakes, killed some rat people, and some orc people. Big demon guy in the middle of a lava lake. Did I mention that it was HOT!!! Thought my flesh was going to burn off. Was fine though- no burning flesh. We killed the demon guy. Got a nice belt, too. I tried to take his sword, but it was too heavy, and it hurt to touch it. Musta been cursed. So we left it there.

I hate it when someone comes along and mortally wounds the thing that you're trying to kill. Fortunately for me, they didn't do the job well enough, that ghost lady- she came back and looked as if she didn't have a scratch on her! Heh, how can you tell if a ghost lady got scratched in the first place?

The end of Kil'jaeden, by Mula

We did it. With the promise of a quick end we were able to get some of the local townsfolk to come along and join in Kil'jaeden's end. The Sunwell had been too long in the control of Kil'jaeden and his lackeys. We arrived at the scene and found his lackeys defiling the Sunwell:

We took them out quickly, but got a nasty surprise:

Yep! Kil'jaeden had been using the Sunwell as his own personal spa. Not cool! Kil'jaeden called his buddies in to help him, but we took them with relative ease. With my trusty axe and my trusty mace, I fought him with all my might. My friends put in no less effort. We could see he was startin' to sweat. So, we turned it up a notch and next thing we knew he was down.

With Kil'jaeden down, cleansing the Sunwell was easy. It began to shine with it's former glory:

And there was much celebration!

Ironsong Tribe gets Kil'jaeden Sweatin', by Mula

Last night was a night to remember. And tonight will go down in the history books. Kil'jaeden, overly confident of his minions, got an unpleasant surprise when 13 Ironsingers came barging into his chamber. Lead by Kosath, in his mighty platemail, the Tribe members took down the Kil'jaeden's forces. Brutallus, could not withstand the power that was the Tribe. Felmyst, gave us a run for the money but in the end, we were able to knock her from her lofty post. Grand Warlock Alythess and Lady Sacrolash caved at the sight of us. M'uru, fled and Entropius stood not a chance. And when we entered Kil'jaeden's chamber, I caught a glimpse of surpise in his eye. We had to retreat, but he'll not have to wait for long, as we'll be back tonight, in full force. Ironsong Tribe will prevail!

Warning to all ninja looters, by Mula

Beware all ninja looters. If you're needing greens and blues in the dungeon, don't expect to make it to the final boss. Trust me your party members will not hesitate to kick you, even if you're the tank or the healer.

Another ennui day with the dragon riders. Had lots of fun knocking Disobedient orcs up the side of the head with the BOOTERANG! Too much fun!

Fail Tank, by Karask

So, you know when your tank is no good when the group wipes on the first pull. Our warrior tank could not hold aggro for crap! So, after halfway through the dungeon I decide to inspect the tank. He had points in Fury and Arms but nothing in Defence. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what is known as a FAIL TANK. Please, all you tanks out there and prospective tanks, you cannot tank with most of your points in FURY! This is worse than a Death Knight trying to tank before he/she reaches level 60 and gains the Death and decay skill.

One more thing. I hate Mana Tombs! I can't wait until Cataclysm and no more mana dependency!

Skyshatter defeated, by Mula

Back at Netherwing ledge again. I gathered my guts together and challenged Captain Skyshatter to a race. Took several tries, but I am a determined Tauren. We both took off, Skyshatter in the lead. He kept tossing fire bombs in my direction but my trusty steed managed to dodge them. We raced to the far side of the island; I was right on his tail. Then he upped the attack: fire bomb after fire bomb. I was ready though. Then he took off, racing to the finish. I kicked it into high gear and beat him by a nose! And then he gave me his riding whip--which I can't use--but it will make a nice trophy.

Ironsong's planning their final attack on the citadel. Mr. Monk ((panderan monk)) stole my invite! I can't believe his gall! Rincewindy is still in Undercity, trying to find a remedy for his lost memory.

Went through Drak'Theron again. Our tank didn't know what he was doing, but he was new. He was mortally wounded from the first group! The healer started heckling him. Not surprisingly, he bailed on us. Left us to clean up the mess. After that, things went smoothly and we were able to clear out the bad guys.

@Pyaara - Got ya a nice healing staff. It's in the mail.

A lot to do, so little time. by Mula

My goal is to get as many achievements as possible. The problem is I tend to be scatterbrained, so it's hard to get the achievements done. Right now, I'm camped out in Netherwing ledge, giving the dragon riders a hand, and hoping they'll accept me as a friend. Negotiations are going well.

Rincewindy has been bugging me for enchanting rods. So, things have slowed down with the dragon riders.

Also I have been working with my guild, The Ironsong Tribe, in Icecrown Citadel. We managed to down the first four bosses and then headed to the vampires' lair. We were able to take out the Vampire council, but the vampire queen proved too much for us. Barely escaping we retreated to a safe location.

My collecting of Primordial Saronite goes well. I believe I will be wielding a certain special axe by the end of summer. Only ten more rocks to go. I may have to postpone my negotiations with the dragon riders to doing various odd-jobs to replenish my gold stash.

The guard dog, Smokey, seems to be getting along quite well. His fiery barks scare away all the unwanted guests. After taking a back seat for a week and a half due to an unwanted possession, I am not taking any more chances.
